Here's a tip for you Tiger fans driving to Birmingham for Saturday's game: stay off 78. Here's what you do. Take Nonconnah until it stops in Collierville. Then go east on 72 until you get to 157, it's around the tri-cities/Muscle Shoals, Alabama. That will get you to I-65, which takes you straight to downtown Birmingham. You'll save at least 30 minutes going this way. That's right, 30 minutes.
On your way, stop by the Germantown Commisary and pick up some bar-b-que for tailgating before the game. It's in Old Germantown, next to the railroad tracks. Get a gallon of the banana pudding for each person your feeding. Trust me, nothing beats pudding better before a football game.

F You, George. I go to Birmingham twice a month and the only way to go is US 78. Anyone with a freakin' brain konws to go 78. This ain't 19 and whatever - the year Dewey Phillips was talking about Starling meat products with Elvis - this is the 21st Century. Get with the program, George, you fruit loop. And give Dixie's Deli and their delectable chicken bites the proper respect. "I don't eat chicken." - LIAR!
